I go to the OB tomorrow. Mom left for a couple of engagements in St. Augustine. Now I'm huffing and puffing around the house without her encouragement. It's harder that way. The stairs look like a mountain. I am getting to the stage where all the signs are pointing to "The End" and this makes me happy. I think I will put my money on the 11th of January. That would put me in at two days early and exactly two weeks out. I was 3 days early with Rachel and 2 days early with Lily. Ella doesn't count because she was my first (4 days late) and Sarah doesn't count because she came emergency C/S three weeks early. I says she's 7 pounds 4 ounces. There's no way she's any smaller than that because my belly is about to burst. Ella was 6,12; Sarah was 5,14 (three weeks early, keep in mind), Rachel was our biggest at 7,9 and Lily was 7,2. What do y'all think?
We got all the bookshelves up for school. I can't wait until we're done unpacking ALL OF MOM'S THOUSAND BOXES of school stuff (ex-teachers, sheesh) so I can post a picture of the finished product. We'll have resources galore at our fingertips. It's interesting to see the things she keeps. I'm not a keeper; I toss stuff out because I hate clutter, even though it's still everywhere. Mom's a keeper; she has gobs of stuff from the 80's. I find people fascinating that way. We all have things that are important to us and the perusal of one's personal property is an interesting story to read.
I took three naps today and still feel totally exhausted. Maybe there was too much napping. I wasn't motivated to do very much.
Granny put up this interesting article. I ignored it for a few days because I don't want to think that hard but I sure was glad when I finally took the time to read it. Very interesting stuff.
I know I never posted the pictures of the house I said I would. That is because I'm tired and feeling very apathetic about almost everything. I'll try harder to put up pictures in the near future.

I feel for you! I am not too far removed from that horrible end stage myself! Hang in there!
As for the birth stat predictions, I'll say Jan. 10 and 7lb, 6oz. For your comforts sake, I hope she's born Jan. 1! :0)
What's this about former teachers???
I read that article at granny's last night and had Jerry read it too. Very interesting, eh?
Glad to see a post from you. I had been wondering how you were doing! I am praying for you in these coming weeks of transition, Jo!
Don't try to hide it, Johanna. I know you have a closet somewhere full of teaching aides and trade books and all sorts of other things that you just can't bear to get rid of because you'll "use it some day for sure." Fess up; how many boxes of teaching gear do you horde?
Role-players are like that, too. They keep all sorts of adventure notes and games from who-knows-how-many-years-ago and always say, "one day I'll use that in an adventure." I'm doomed to clutter in this way because my mom is a former teacher and my husband is a gamer. And then I have 5 kids. Sigh. ;) If I can just get my bedroom to resemble something that resembles a space for me and me alone (okay, and Del sometimes too) I'll be happy.
Jan. 1!!! That would be totally cool! My belly, brain, uterus and all sorts of other body parts would love that!
I think the last trimester gets worse with every kid. I just don't remember it being this bad with Ella and Sarah.
I am gonna say Jan 6th (my great grandma's and my cousin's bday) and weighing in at 7lb 10oz ;)
I agree with ya, I think the last trimester gets worse with every kid ;) And I could not have ever handled being THAT pregnant at xmastime. I would have tried to jump in a lake ;) hehe
I hope you can hang in there and do well all along!!!!
Well, I have gained another 1/2 centimeter. The doc has already emphasized the importance of making sure I go into labor soon to avoid a C/S. I really like that they aren't just pushing for C/S. She said next week they'd strip my membranes to try and help things along. No matter what, it's a relief to know that in about two weeks, give or take a couple of days, Anna will be in my arms instead of kicking me in the lungs. Doc said she's nicely head down. So that's my update. I just recently remembered that I should probably pick up some newborn size diapers and get out the newborn clothes. Duh.
I love the name Anna!! :)
I am glad you remembered the newborn stuffs ;)
I actually don't have boxes of teaching stuff. I left it all at the school I taught at, some of it because I didn't really want to keep it all and the rest because after Aaron was born, I forgot about it until it was too late and had been absorbed into other teacher's stashes of stuff.
I definitely thought the end of pregnancy was worse with Andrew than with the other two. I think a lot of it has to do with having to still keep up with the other children!
