You Asked For It

I'm happy to oblige.

Yesterday I was surprised by a knock at the door. When I opened it, my mom was on the other side. When Del got home from work he changed his clothes and then he took me out on a date, to a restaurant called Fuego; it's a Brazillian steak house. We probably won't go there again, but it was an interesting experience. Afterwards, we went to a shopping center that has a CompUSA that is going out of business, a BabiesRUs, and a JoAnn's. We visited the first two without buying anything but of course we bought some stuff at the third. He took me to the Husqvarna shop and we looked at which serger he is going to buy for me. Del then took the day off work today. We went bowling and then out to lunch and we just got done having a small but very personal and special party, including homemade chocolate cake with ice cream in the middle. Tomorrow we will be going to Shoresh David to hear a holocaust survivor named Rose Price speak and afterwards we are going to Sophia's Tea Room. Any guesses why the special treatment?

Lets see... 1. You're pregnant, 2. Del got an even bigger raise, 3. Early valentines day, 4. you are officially starting a sewing business of your own.

Those are my guesses. I sure hope you tell me what the real reason is soon!!

I CANNOT BELIEVE I DIDN'T REMEMBER!!! I thought about it in December when I was making your Christmas gifts, and I was thinking about what I could make you for your birthday...and not it is here and I forgot. I am the most horrible friend that ever lived.

oh please...as i recall i haven't sent you even a birthday card for several years. in fact, it's so bad i can't even remember whether i sent you one last year or not. but you know what, i was pregnant so probably not. i am currently desperately trying to remember that your birthday is in april, grandma's birthday is in april, meagan's birthday is in march...holy smokes i better go write these down. post it notes are probably a good idea.

I actually keep a master calendar with all the birthdays I want to remember on it, but somehow yours isn't there! I think I did send you a card last year (or an e-card) so I must have remembered...who knows why it is missing from the master calendar. But it's there now!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! So glad you are SO much older than me. That way I can glean much wisdom from you! :)
